If you experience a freeze up with one of our margarita machines, here are a few steps you can take to solve the issue and get the frozen drink mix flowing again
- Turn the machine off and unplug the Margarita Machine
- There are four #2 Phillips screws securing the lid of the machine, remove these. Be careful of the edges of the stainless steel as they are sharp and can cause cuts to hands.
- Notice the pulley towards the back of the margarita machine in the first image. The product chamber port, or mix port is located on the back side of this pulley.
- In the second image you can see the clear braided hose and stainless steel hose clamp. The hose and clamp are connected to the product chamber, or mix port marked with a + sign.
- Rotate the pulley (counter clockwise) as needed and use a blow dryer set on High heat to thaw the ice block that has formed inside the mix port. This should only take 15-30 seconds to thaw.
- Open the spout and see if you frozen drinks are flowing. 99.9 percent of the time the problem is solved. If not, heat the fitting again then test.
- Replace the lid For Safety Reasons. There are moving parts as well as electrical components.(if you don't replace the screws, please leave them on the bottom shelf of the cart)
- Turn the margarita machine back on.
